Three Stephjoy students released on police bond

The three boys from stephjoy High school who were among 11 arrested on August 3, after a fire at the school that left 3 students dead, have been released on bond after a directive from the High court on Monday.

Judge Nicholas Ombija said that the police were given enough time to complete investigations therefore the students cannot continue to be held.
The state council had asked for more time, which the court declined.

On August 10, the High court ordered the three be remanded for 10 days to minimalize chances of interfering with witnesses as well as to enable police round up the witnesses.
They were detained at the children's unit of the Tigoni Police Station but eight were released over lack of sufficient proof.
