Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger formally splits from his wife

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has split from his long term lover and wife Annie.

This comes after months of speculation about the state of their marriage, with the couple not seen together since 2013.

Wenger, 65, has previously admitted that the pressure of his job with Arsenal has put pressure on his marriage. 

According to a source Wenger filed papers in his hometown of Strasbourg, France that show the two have not been together since June this year. The two are said the have agreed on a financial package and divided their assets.

The couple had been in a long term relationship since the mid-1990s before they got married in 2010.

Together they have an 18-year-old daughter, Lea.
