Pastor James Ng'ang'a was arraigned in
court today where he denied all four counts leveled against him.
Ng'ang'a was charged with conspiring
against justice, causing death by dangerous driving, giving false information
and failing to report an accident.
The controversial pastor will spend
another night in police custody until Friday, August 21, 2015 pending senior
resident magistrate Timothy Tanchu's ruling on Friday.
The Neno Evangelism center pastor was
arrested on Wednesday at Java Milimani and was taken to Gigiri police station
where he spent the night pending his hearing on Thursday.
His other lawyer, Cliff Ombeta, declined a
request by police to take him to the government chemist to obtain DNA samples.
Two senior
police officers Patrick Baya and
Christopher Nzilu Nzioka were also arrested and will be charged with conspiracy
to defeat justice alongside Ng’ang’a.
