FDA busts Kim Kardashian selfie for leaving out drug side effects

The celebrity who is no stranger to Instagram promotion, tweeted and Instagrammed a selfie last month holding up a branded bottle of pills alongside text endorsing their facts.
“OMG. Have you heard about this? As you guys know my #morning sickness has been pretty bad,” the celebrity wrote on an Instagram post that she also linked to on Twitter late last month. Kardashian has more than 34 million Twitter followers and 42 million Instagram followers.
But the social media post  drew the attention of federal regulators. In a letter dated August 7 the Food and drug Administration ordered the company to take it down.

“The Office of Prescription Drug Promotion … has reviewed the Kim Kardashian Social Media Post,” the letter begins, ominously. "The social media post is false or misleading in that it presents efficacy claims for DICLEGIS, but fails to communicate any risk information."
Ms Kardashian provided a link to the drug firms own related warnings but failed to describe the potential risks.
The reality star has since removed the post from Instagram and Facebook though a tweet alluding to the posts remains online.
