Pastor James Ng'ang'a to face murder charges after fresh evidence emerges

The controversial pastor of Neno Evangelism will be charged in court with causing death through dangerous driving as more evidence implicating him has been gathered.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has said there is enough evidence to file a case against the preacher for “causing death through dangerous driving.” He said more witnesses recorded statements with police officers “to close the gaps” earlier cited in the case file.

The team handling the file is expected to hand it to the DPP later on Monday.

A 38-year old woman Ms. Mercy Njeri, died in the accident while her husband Mr. Martin Mbugua Ndung'u survived with multiple injuries.

The file also recommends that disciplinary action be taken against at least six police officers who attended to the scene.

A man who had come out to take blame for the pastor fronting to be the driver behind the wheel will be charged with giving false information.

Pastor Ng'ang'a has since denied claims that he was driving the range Rover at the time of the accident.
